The northern launch of Suki the Life Model's book, "A Small Life" took place on 5th October 2012. Artist and life-drawing instructor Helen Peyton read from the book and from Suki's recent poetry collection, "Kunst", while Suki carried out a series of unclothed three-minute poses corresponding to the text, followed by a longer pose. Attendees were invited to bring sketch-books and draw. Following the reading there was a panel discussion about the life-drawing endeavour and the issues to which it gives rise, with Helen Peyton, Suki's manager Sue Vickerman, Cinnamon Press general editor Jan Fortune, and Ellie Halls Schiadas, co-owner and director of the Leeds Gallery and organiser of Leeds Life Drawing which takes place at the gallery.
This slideshow is a record of that event.
