Xcalak is THE most remote location in the Mexican Riviera Maya. It's located at the very border with belize surrounded by a beautiful lagoon (where you can see manatees if your'e lucky). It's crystal clear waters, pristine coral gardens and massive formations make it my favorite place to scuba dive in all of Mexico.
The dive sites included in this videos are:
La Poza, When the weather is not good, this is the divesite to go, since hundreds of Tarpons gather around the strong currents of this dive site. This day however, we didn't have the chance to meet them, since the day was great.
Hob Nah about 15 minutes up north from XTC dive centerXTC I'ts ancient formations make up massive canyons hundreds of thousands of years in the making of corals stacked against each other. It's not uncommon to witness the beauty of black corals, lobsters, Morray Eels, and the much of the best of what makes us wrap a tank around our backs and go under the surface.
