The Mentoring Project Introduction
30 million children in America grow up in Fatherless homes.
The societal impact of fatherlessness is staggering.
- 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes.
- 80% of all prison inmates grew up fatherless homes.
- 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes.
The Mentoring Project inspires and equips the faith community to provide positive male mentors for boys between the ages of 7 and 14.
Founded in 2005, The Mentoring Project is the vision of New York Times Best-Selling author Donald Miller.
Our goal is to equip 10,000 mentors in 1,000 churches over the next five years.
