“I feel that because I’ve had cancer I faced my biggest fear…and now I don’t really know what there is to be afraid of”
Diagnosed with invasive Ductile Carcinoma in 2007, Sarah was initially terrified of potentially losing her breast and felt overwhelmed by all the information, which was thrown at her. However, upon working on changing her mindset, she underwent a transformation, discovering a more hopeful and optimistic perspective on her treatments (“the person that I was physically and emotionally before cancer is gone”). Having overcome her greatest fear, she discusses the value of receiving help, love and support from those closest to her and her experience of “going around bald all the time…and being fine with it.”
