Lumix GH1 Matchmoving test 02
My second test. Still hand-held, matchmoving artifacts would have not been there if I had shot with a glidecam :)
Shot with Panasonic Lumix GH1 PAL and kit lens 14-140mm.
AVCHD 1280/720 - 50p - Full manual
Edited in Sony vegas pro 8
AVCHD to Sony Yuv codec to Matchmover pro 4 to 3dsmax 9 to After effects 6.5 to Vimeo

tu utilises quoi, boujou?
Hi JB&B, thats a very nice price, can you share where you found it? thanks!
As this was shot at 14mm and 50p the rolling shutter is only visible when I shake like hell every time my foot hit the ground, there's only at these times the tracking was hard to complete + I shot at 1/60... But seeing the result I think it's really good for an improvised shooting.
As Mike janov said with a stable footage you'll achieve decent match with the GH1 < It will be in my 3rd (last) test
how would you say the gh1 stacks up in this department? have you tried running the smoothcam filter in final cut on any of your shaky footage yet? I'm this close to buying your camera and this issue is the only thing that is holding me back. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks! and keep up the great work.

The reason I bought a GH1 is because I didn't wanted to wait so long for the Red Scarlet (I'm still waiting:) so I was warned about the CMOS/rolling shutter etc
I'll be very careful when shooting real shorts and be as smooth as possible to avoid stabilising shot in post prod.
