News is defined as “a report of a recent event; Intelligence; Information”. I have been an avid reader of news all my life- the act of daily reading the newspaper everyday with my family. It was probably one of the first things we did daily after waking up, a habit that I formed from almost as far back as when I started reading consciously.
Some of the questions I asked myself while thinking about news were “What are the variations that I have gone through in the past few years, in how I access news today? What are the forms that I read my news in?
I realized somewhere down the line my reading habits evolved, where I wasn’t reading the newspaper as much as I used to, I realized that in today’s quick-pace world I was reading a lot more from the internet and although the access to the information online became so vast that there was no dearth of information, somehow I recognized that the recollection of this information was far lesser than when I used to read from the physical medium of a newspaper. On the internet we linger to read all that we can such that there is no start or an end to the experience of gaining knowledge, something that I think has become more of a problem for the exchange of intelligent information
