Hey Alex, extremely nice work as always!

I've always wondered though how you deal with materials? What channels do you usually use? Diffuse, specular and bump only? Or do you use others to make those surfaces pop?

Keep it up! By the way, are you available for contract work in London?! ;-)

Really nice atmosphere and realisation , nice rendering , but to be honest Vray don t impress me anymore ...
  • "Vray don t impress me anymore"

Errr as far as I can tell this is the most advanced rendering system in terms of the final product... Do you know something the entire visualisation community do not?!
  • ZhiC 1 month ago
I think what he meant is that Vray has become a 'press one button' render engine. Compared to renderer such as mentalray which would take many more hours to achieve the same look.
I'd say Vray is more a quick yet powerful and realistic advanced renderer
while others like MR is more artistic, craft.
Like comparing digital photography and film photography.
Both powerful, but on different levels.
  • Jerome Escobar 1 month ago
    Excatly ! Thanks ! :)
  • Joel 25 days ago
so you are saying that a product that gets things done better, faster and easier is inferior to the product that "would take many more hours to achieve the same look" ???

your analogy of digital and film is flawed, as the results of digital and film are not the same. for example the dynamic range of a medium format Hasselblad is far superior to any digital camera, thus there are merits of one over the other.

Excellent sense of mood! Very good cinematography feeling!
You can play with the camera movement, but still very realistic.
There is a depth of field problem in some shots.
Stunning!!! Your work always inspires me!

I don't know anything about CG but I know this building. I've been working here for about six years.

I have to say - amazing, so real, doesn't just look like the library but really gets the feel of it. The light was so important to Louis Kahn and you captured it.

Man!, as as architect i have to say that you caused me a great emotion with this video. You were very sensible in your shots and promedades and could show, in my opinion, the essence this the project, which I consider one of the World's architecture masterpiece. Wellcome to the virtual reality: finally it cames! Keep working. Bravo.

  • This film is one of the most amazingly unique pieces that I have ever seen. The lighting, texture and ambience are stunning in an almost surreal way that almost looks like grainless ISO 50 film....yet the piece retains a filmic quality about it at the same time.

    Brilliant wonderful work,

    ~Casey W.
