I... don't like how this turned out. I need to make something fluffy and happy to make up for it RIGHT NOW. AGH!
5D Mark II, Canon 28-135mm, tripod, dolly, fig rig, video is 100% straight from the camera, imported into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, pre-rendered the raw files, and exported to .mpeg - I let Vimeo convert it to 24p.
Music is Christmas Steps by Mogwai. There's nothing secret at the end of the video, I just like the song.

Just glad you guys made a video. Sure miss the days when you did regular updates but I understand you gotta make a living.
I think a 5D / EX1 video comparison is a must! Gonna get to that soon :)
BTW, now that it's summer and we have free time, Take Zer0 will be back very soon! I'm working on a redesign.
With the profiles I could make the EX go from useless in the dark to damn near night vision. But I'm sure the canon has something like that too!
I think I might set up a fundraising event here in Ireland, hopefully we can raise enough money to buy Peter a whole batch of new shirts that aren't green & white striped :D :D
This is gonna be a good summer :)
I think you should do the 5D / EX1 video comparison. That would be pretty cool!
Thanks man.
But yeah, I absolutely recommend it. We sold our EX1 after using the Mark II. We shot an entire short film on a busy street of downtown Los Angeles. The camera is so small and discreet, you can change lenses, incredibly shallow dof.
Battery life is a little low, but we bought 2 extra batteries, so we're pretty much prepared for any type of shoot. CF cards are very cheap as well (we have 72 GB of storage now, haha).
