Computer animation from my Fine Art degree show at Goldsmiths in 1990. Made in DPaint3 on the communication dept's Amigas, self-taught and cutting-edge (for the time - 1989!). These loops were played on one monitor in an architectural installation, with a manipulated video of transit through the city on an another. Audio was stock crowd recordings played on an endless audio cassette. A large scale computer print of a photograph of the Strangeways riot just outside the installation completed the whole assemblage.
I'll cut this with some photos of the installation when I get a moment.
The jumping image and colour bars at the start are not deliberate, they're artefacts of the VHS tape that looked after this digital media for twenty years before it was re-digitised.
