Nice work Doug! Yous hould try the EX3 with a Canon 44x IS lens. It looks silly, tiny camera on the back of a monster lens, but boy you can get some tight shots. It airshow season here, so next few weeks will be busy. Alister

Hi Alister, I see that you've got some fantastic stuff on your page. I guess the inactive USA tornado season wasn't a total washout. It will be interesting to see your project in 3D. I have some kind of vision problem, can't remember the name, that prevents me from seeing any 3D technology I've ever come across. It all looks burry to me and just gives me a headache. 3D has ruined Imax for me.

    Hi Brian,
For various reasons I won't go into here, the air show footage was shot with a combination of 1080/30P, 720/30P, and 720/24P settings. Edited with FCP as a 720/30P sequence.

Great work Doug, I love airshows but can't stand the noise.

I know what you mean about 3D, when wearing the special glasses I see green through one eye and red through the other, the images never join up, I am in the same boat as you. One blessing is that you can visualise 2D pictures better than other people.

Doug - That is some fantastic footage. Very well done. I am a member of Pratt & Whitney's F119 Engine Team, and I had a group of 300+ employees in attendance to watch our engines power the F-22 demo. I have an interest in seeing if I can use some of this footage, especially your F-22 B Roll. Please send me an email at my personal email address, crash5258@aol.com, if you are interested in working something out. I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks a lot, and keep up the great work.

Doug- Some beautiful shots! What really struck me was how smoothly you followed these guys. What kind of tripod do you use?
