    Really nice look Phil.
These cameras are moving by leaps and bounds.
I know a local shooter who will be using one on his next documentary rather than an EX1.

Question: How did you deliver, tape or just a file?
Did you do the audio mix on FCP?

    Looks great very organic.

I FTP a pro-res file to Bulgaria. The Audio was done in Bulgaria

I see. Really great stuff, it really rivals Varicam Quality, sans the 41K you dont have to pony up for the MkII.

When do we get the special directors cut with the bedroom scene?
  • Philip Bloom plus 5 months ago
the one with me showing the guy who to cuddle a guy or the actual shot?!
  • Paul Reynolds 5 months ago
Well... now that you mention it... Both. I am sure one or the other would amuse us.

    Very good Philip!

    You broke another paradigm.

Did you use lights on the night shot?

What are they saying on the narration?

Very nice! So you went with a 5 frame "overcrank?" Very nice touch.

    Cheers,
    Denver Riddle

    grade out sodium vapour?
  • Kanim Allomin 5 months ago
00:34 looks a touch green to me eyes. I thinkin that be the street lamps. could be not the sodium but the mercury then. them street lamps look modern type so maybe CFL. that be how I saw it but I am not the dop only a bloody critic.

The colors are so warm, it's unbelievable. This is what I notice about the 5D MKII. Wow!

what is the editing software that you've used to edit this video?
    i've noticed that you've exported in 1920/1080P...

Final cut pro. what are you using?

The motion is really jumpy, but i guess there's not much movement so it's not too noticeable. Is that because of the 25p conversion?
  • Philip Bloom plus 5 months ago
Jumpy? I don't see it. Sorry! The 25p conversion is smooth as...

I can only really notice it when the girl moves the ice cream around, her arm looks a bit choppy in motion. It really stood out the first time i watched it. Maybe it's just the vimeo player... then again maybe its just me =]
Do you prefer to shoot on 35mm adapter or DSLR?
  • Philip Bloom plus 5 months ago
might be worth downloading it to see if you still get it.

I love them both. 5d makes me swear a lot, but love image and my back likes it. Ex and adaptor is still amazing and my number one choice

I may sound like a broken record with me commenting on your work Philip, but you have such a knack for capturing absolutely beautiful imagery. To take good footage is one thing, but you have such a way of getting the most interesting people, backgrounds, etc. Exquisite!

I don't mean to sound mean but it doesn't feel like a commercial. What am I to buy? Just my 2 pence.
  • Philip Bloom plus 5 months ago
maybe because this version doesn't have the graphics on the end of it like the version that is being transmitted and you don't understand Bulgarian?
