From Peter Shipkov's Overburn technique (maybe not the first to do it but most well known) Basically it's Fluid Shaded Cloud particles. I made a video tutorial about how to make it from scratch and edit it into a meteor.

Sorry about the sound, it crackles at points and is annoying. Welp, this is free so please to enjoy.

Perfect timing! The overburn technique is way to advanced for me. Also learned cool stuff about that particle node thingy.

That was a great tutorial! Your humor definitely made it easy to enjoy. What would be a good way to go about making the clouds become more wispy towards the end?

you don't "create it" it's already there you basically just add it to the particle. The particleSampleInfoNode already has it listed so you can make the connection before, you even add it to the particle... just it won't do anything until you add it to the particle and write the expression/add a ramp
