This is a short little ad that I did for Much Music here at Bigstudios inc. It was a promotion they were having in collaboration with Hilroy, 5 Star Binders.
It was a back to school thing, so they wanted a chalk board look and feel to the animation.
A couple of the binder shots were animated in Max, just as reference to get the motions right, but most of the animation was done in After Effects. However, I was lucky to have the help of my talented little friend Evan DeRushie to assist in doing a little extra traditional chalkboard animation.

The majority of it is digital yea. We did do some traditional chalk animation however, but only a few elements like the moving arrow, dotted lines and such.
