Video Blog of day one of our trip to Point Of The Mountain Utah.
Rod Clarke and I left Southern California at about 5 am on July 1, 2009 to get to Utah in time for an evening flight at the Point.
We arrived at the North side at about 4:30 pm to find thunderstorms brewing off to the west. The frequent lightning strikes made us now feel fuzzy about flying.
It soon started to rain and a gust front from the south shut down the flying therefor the day. When we arrived back at camp on the South Side we found it blowing in nice but a bit cross. About 5 minutes later is was blowing strait in at a steady 18 mph. We Stuffed batten quick and had tons of fun for about 45 minutes before it got too strong and gusty. I was the last to land.
