Penny & I arrived at Engineer Lake at about midnight. By the time we'd collected ourselves & hiked to our cabin it was 2 am & quite chilly. We rowed across the lake to collect the rest of gear, swaddled in mist. Loons & grebes provided an intermittent soundtrack.
