"A Tale of Two Summers" is a continuing legal education video directed, produced, edited, and narrated by Steve Delchin of Delchin Productions. It debuted to large audiences at the annual Ethics and Professionalism program presented by Squire Sanders in Columbus on 12/4/12 at the Hilton Easton and in Cleveland on 12/5/12 at the Marriott at Key Tower. "A Tale of Two Summers" is an ode to the best time of the year: summertime. It explores the tension between a lawyer’s duty of loyalty, which includes the duty to avoid conflicts of interest, and a lawyer’s duty of confidentiality, as embodied in Rule 1.6 of the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct. This CLE video is especially timely in light of the recent amendments to ABA Model Rule 1.6 addressing a lawyer's duty of confidentiality. The lively and entertaining video follows the summertime adventures of two law students, Britney McBrain (played by Alana Jochum) and Max Powers (played by Max Czernin), as they embark on a quest to land the legal job of their dreams. Watch the story as it explores whether the students, and their employers, successfully navigated the clash between their ethical duties. "A Tale of Two Summers" features over 40 Squire Sanders lawyers and was shot in over 15 locations between July and September 2012. Notable stars include Fred Nance, David Goodman, Ken Moore, Craig Woods, Geoff Barnes, Tom Stanton, Aneca Lasley, John Gall, Karen Winters, Andrew Etter, Bryan Venesy, Greg Stype, Martha Sullivan, Dan Roules, John Kirsner, and many more.
