Quick breakdown of what's happening and the thinking behind it;
There are 4 parts to the clip; I hope you can see the differences as I haven't numbered them!
1) Natividad's Clonogenics gelcount slides edited, ordered according to their numbering then looped. Each individual slide lasts one frame of the animation.
2) As above layered in three dimensions with a frames difference between each layer; this layering is inspired by the various layer scans used in the research and practice
3) The same as above from a different angle, creating a the appearance of a cube.
4) Inspired by the colour tinting of cancer imaging, the above now reveals variations of colour derived from my own artwork, with three of the (3) mixed together to form a more solid looking shape, which smoothly rotates as inspired by the controlling mechanism of the MRI machine.
This latter image looks even better when presented in 'portrait' format, which also references the head scans of patients.
All in all, just playing with raw material and inspirations from lab visits. Not sure this is anywhere near a completed artwork, but personally I'm quite excited by it.
