    Nice video. What did you do to the footage/frame rate when people were jumping in front of the sun at around 0:38.

    Thanks James! I’m pretty sure this was either 36fps or just 24fps. I had a few animated subtle layers going that changed the look of the footage a lot.

    i love how the octopus looks like it's in stop motion - any specialness done to achieve that, or is that just how the monster looks? :)

    also, how the hell did you find that thing?

    Eric - It’s all filmed with the HVX at 24fps. The one thing that may look it like is that I animated a piece of paper in After Effects, the opacity changes very faintly to give a very little 8mm feel. For the most part though it’s all just the little guy roaming around.

    We found him when the tide was really low, I believe the lowest of the year last year.
