Diabet-ease is a 4 part system designed for children with type 2. It consists of a sensor placed in a blood vessel that continuously transmits data to a watch located on the child's wrist. Data such as blood sugar levels, macro-nutrient levels like proteins, fats, and carbs, and exercise, are also streamed to a mobile device for the parents to view. The data is archived on an online hub for use by patients, parents, and doctors.
This was a collaborative project done by Keaton Reeder and Abby Carr during the fall semester of 2012 for a Multimedia Experience class taught by Marty Lane at the Kansas City Art Institute.
