It was a cloudy night. Took a quick timelapse of the moon swimming among the clouds. Manual Focus n Fireworks scene mode.

2 months ago I used 1 second setting. Max 12x zoom. Manual Focus is very important as in low light and sometimes cloud cover will cause Auto focus to lose focus on the moon. Also manual speed and exposure or iris until you can see the patterns in the moon. Otherwise, it will be too bright. you will see one bright round moon. Speed was increase to over 1/1000, I think - just try out increase speed while reducing iris so you can see moon pattern. -
Tom Eitel 1 month agoGreat timelapse i really like how well you got the moon in focus. -

1 month ago First I zoom in 12x or to the amount that you want. Then I use the AE/AF on the moon to get the correct focus. After that, I switch to manual focus to fix the focus. But I do not change the focus or touch the manual focus ring after that. This way, the focus stay the same throughout the shoot.
