At the end of November 2012, the Djiboutian Contingent serving with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) began deploying its main force of 1,000 troops to the central Somali town of Belet Weyne. Here, Brig. Gen. Hassan Soubagleh, AMISOM Chief of Staff narrates some of the challenges the Djiboutian Contingent face on the ground and how they are planning to help Somalia and the people of the Hiraan Region.
