Nesta's Digital R&D Scotland Fund is a partnership between Creative Scotland, Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Nesta to support arts and cultural organisations across Scotland who want to work with digital technologies to expand their audience reach and engagement and/or explore new business models.
Nesta ran this Digital Advisory Day in Edinburgh on 28th November 2012 for arts organisations and technology companies considering applying to the fund. The day included some short presentations and a panel Q&A with Nesta and Fund recipient Glasgow Film Theatre; and also representatives from Creative Scotland's other digital development initiatives: Sync and AmbITion.
Four digital specialists also talked through their work before breaking out to one-to-one sessions which gave arts organisations the chance to run their ideas past the specialists to gain constructive feedback, before applying. The day also gave people the opportunity to meet potential collaborators; which we will continue to support through a 'Would like to meet' document held on our website: nesta.org.uk/digital_rnd_scotland
