The category view has paging, with a configurable number of maximum threads, and auto-deletion nomination. I can also export the images from a thread with one click. On the right, you'll see that the other client has recieved notification that the thread was just created. The main page features a magic statistics box and new thread notification feature.
My left client has gone into the thread, and my right one as well. Notice that when the left client nominates for deletion, the right client's delete link changes. The number reflects the number of toggles. The number before locking the thread is configurable.
Help is available on every screen with a standard keyboard command. The next feature to show is the shared state of the thread view between the two clients. My left client has another 4 legged duck to share. Notice how it pops into the right client's thread view. This eliminates F FIVE rage. The screen will automatically continue to scroll onto the new posts that occur. Each post receives an ID that is clickable to allow inter-thread reply linking. On the category view, paging is also stateful to keep users from getting lost in the noise.
We'll now go back to the main page with both clients. Notice that there is now a recent image on display. Each thread can have one image on the recent images screen. This feature is about to be reworked to be dynamic without the need for refreshing the screen. The maximum number shown is 3. The images that are uploaded to Ochan can be retrieved in their full resolution unchanged. The size and quality of the thumbnails generated by Ochan is also configurable. The new thread created by the client on the left has shown up as a notification for the right client. Clicking the notification takes the user to that thread directly. As the client on the left adds more and more content, the statistics will eventually refresh on the main page of the right side. While this is gold plating, it will eventually lead to graphing and statistics gathering to allow users to grasp the number of users and amount of content creation occuring in the community.
My client on the left is going to go through and post the rest of the long cat, and a tiny turtle to finish it off. No notifications appear on the right side client window because these are just replies. The category view shows the indention of the replies to an original post. The number of replies to show from the newest to oldest below the original post is configurable as well. Users can quickly identify how many images and posts are within a thread from the category view. Tiny Turtle is pleased with this.
When a thread is marked for deletion, the users can see the link change to 'undelete' on the thread view. On the category view, the users see red text noting that the thread has been marked for deletion. Toggling for deletion does not elevate the thread to the front of the category.
The announcement on the main page is configurable, and allows embedding of html. The title of the deployment and the names and number of categories is completely defined by you and is allowed to be altered at runtime. Thank you for taking a look at what Ochan can do for you.
