COP18 (28/11/12) – Omar Jilani, Chairman of the Pak Oasis Group talks about his work with water treatment and engineering systems. He talks specifically about his organisation’s work in Southern Pakistan.
He says this focus follows a decision by the country’s government to ensure clean drinking water for the whole population. He says 45% of the province he works in will have access to this by 2014.
He says the future for sustainable water for people will lie in the technological solutions. He says the biggest challenge of people not having access to clean water is the health consequences of this.
