Stephen... I'm going to tell you a story. It's about a boy called Sam, who one day, when he was 3, began to play Super Mario World on a mysterious grey box. A gamer was born.

So. As his life continued, the Nintendo 64 entered into his life. One day, possibly Christmas, he got a little game called Super Smash Brothers. He fell in love with this series and got it on the Gamecube later on.

Then we wondered where this Ness character came from. He downloaded a ROM to see what it was like, and he fell in love yet again. He quickly ran to eBay and purchased a cart.

After playing the game time and time again, he wanted to enhance his Earthbound knowledge. He stumbled upon a little website called Starmen.net. Many hours of fan videos were watched.
(Edit: Kinda threw it back into 1st person... oh well)
All good things must come to an end, however. I eventually found other parts of the internet to enjoy, and I forgot about Earthbound for awhile.

Around 2007 however, I got back into the Earhtbound swing. I found your song, "I am Earthbound" and "Earthbound Week". I listened to both of those songs on repeat for a playthrough of Earthbound.

Then, after forgettting about Earthbound again, I was introduced to a game called Kingdom of Loathing. I was highly amused by the content, but many of the references went over my head.

I then found the Q and A Radio Show archives. The archives of the creators radio shows. I found out alot about life and Kingdom of Loathing. They also helped practically double my music library, by telling me about They Might Be Giants.

Now... about 6 months after I got all of the studio albums (I had money lying around) I decided to... download a few of them from one of those sites that search the entire internet for a downloadable version of whatever song you searched.

I wanted to get Doctor Worm... I find the link, and, to my pure and utter amazement... it's your website... Mestephen.com. The website I enjoyed but hadn't visited in 2 years. And it had my now favourite band on it. And my most listened to song, Earthbound Week came from there.

Therefor, either you are the thing that connects the entire universe, They Might Be Giants are the thing that connects the entire universe, or Jick is.

You're the best stephen. Sorry for this being amazingly drawn out. Is it punishment for me watching that 30 minute video about your '04 trip to Washington? Nope. I just like to type.
