The Syracuse University Sport Management (SPM) Club holds its Eighth Annual Charity Sports Auction on Saturday, December 8th at the Carrier Dome. Silent bidding on hundreds of auction items, including sports memorabilia and hands-on experiences, electronics, jewelry and so much more, takes place in the backcourt during the SU men's basketball game against Monmouth University. Doors open for the auction at 5 p.m. through Gates A, B, C & E. All other gates open as usual at 5:30 p.m.
The SPM Club is a student-run organization in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamic's Sport Management Department and is open to students across campus. Since its founding in 2005, the Club has raised over $150,000 for local charities.
All proceeds from this year's auction will benefit Special Olympics New York.
The SPM Club and Steiner Sports Memorabilia is also holding an online auction of over 25 premium items through Dec. 16th. Just in time for the holidays, this on-line auction is part of the Sport Management Club’s Charity Sports Auction on Dec. 8th in the Carrier Dome to benefit Special Olympics New York.
The on-line auction offers a wide range of sports memorabilia that makes great gift ideas, including an New York Knicks basketball signed by Anthony, Thomas, Kidd, Chandler, and Coach Woodson; a Shaq autographed basketball; Moses Malone signed 76ers jersey, a pair of Maria Sharapova autographed tennis sneakers, as well as a 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship Pin Flag signed by the top 100 FedEx Cup golfers, including Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and much more.
