experience points (or XP)-points a character gains from achieving a goal (such as killing a monster); the more XP, the higher the character's level
cloak of eyes-a ridiculously expensive, valuable magical item
shield proficiency-a ridiculously mundane, simple feat
hit points (or HP)-"health" in other games; points used to determine how alive/hurt the character is
bards-the dumbest character to play; jack of all trades, master of none; probably would have low hit points
fascist-a leader who operates autocratically, opressively and is controlling; most game masters are fascists
