This webinar is the second in a series discussing key chapters from the Assessment of Climate Change in the Southwest United States: A Technical Report Prepared for the U.S. National Climate Assessment. This assessment, which will be published in early 2013, summarizes and synthesizes the past, present, and projected climate in the Southwest region, examining what this means for the health and well-being of human populations and the environment throughout the six Southwestern states-Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
Episode 2 consists of three brief talks and 30 minutes for questions at the end. The talks include a brief overview and introduction to climate in the Southwest by Gregg Garfin, and a discussion of coastal issues and choices for climate adaptation in the Southwest by Susanne Moser and Eric Hartge.
