On June 8, 2008, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin attended a Masters Commission graduation ceremony at the Wasilla Assembly of God church in Wasilla, Alaska.
Palin gave a speech in honor of the graduating students, who had learned about "authority", Bible memorization, "prophecy", miracle healing and other subjects.
Towards the end of the ceremony, graduating 3-years Masters Commission students were presented with western-style and also Samurai swords. Shortly before that ceremony, a speaker addressed Sarah Palin, who was at the time still in the audience - that indicates it is likely that Palin was in attendance for the sword-presentation.
