Contrasting light and shadow, day and night, a glimpse at life in a bustling city where often perspective... is everything.

A short film I directed for Greenlight Hope Films using the Canon 5D Mark II with Nikon manual primes and available light.

    Really enjoyed it.

Can you tell me which lenses were used?

Justin, thanks:) Yes, VERY happy with 5D. We recorded location sound with a Fostex FR2-LE and a Sennheiser 416 shotgun. Voice overs in an overdub booth with a Neumann studio mic.

Wow I love this! It's almost like you stole my idea (I'm not crazy here, it's just a coincidence) the low light shots, the city, the metro shots, the narration, even the themes! You did this very well, I kinda like it when I see people who share my taste :)

    Very nice.
I could not help but compare it to my life her in Antarctica. 153 people, no trains, no sunlight (5 months or so), no traffic, no lines, no rushing around, and no crowds.
Very much liked the scripture reference.
Just bought my Mark II before I can here, you and others here have inspired to shoot some video.

Ken, glad I could help in your inspiration, I'm sure you could inspire the rest of us with some amazing scenes from Antarctica! I love the footage they got in the Planet Earth series there, but would be interested in seeing even more- such a mystique about that place:)

Thanks David! Yeah, JBL, thats funny how that happens to me too: seeing other work that was kind of in my head and then seeing it on the screen. Thats kind of fun too since we all borrow ideas from each other anyway:)

    Ecclesiastes 1:9
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

... that said, I believe with the right inspiration, we can do things people have never seen before...in a way...:)))
