Rubina's first annual Give GOOD Market held on Nov 30 and Dec 1 at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in West Chelsea was so much fun. The market featured 40 women-owned businesses selling goods that are positively impacting the world. It also included supplemental programming like DIY Craft Workshops hosted by BurdaStyle, Manufacture NY, and Textile Arts Center, a Film Screening Room with shorts by Half the Sky, The Story of Stuff, The Story Exchange, and Microlending Film Project, an ongoing art exhibition of women artists curated by Underline Gallery, Musical entertainment by solar-powered band Roshni, and a panel discussion about Women Entrepreneurship for Empowerment around the world with representatives from The Tory Burch Foundation, Eileen Fisher, Accion USA, The Lower East Side Girls Club, Mercado Global, and HERNAN.
The Market was co-sponsored by New York Women Social Entrepreneurs and the Centre for Social Innovation.
This film was shot and edited by Jackson Lau.
