To view this video stereoscopically, cross your eyes until the two images form a single unified image.

I made this animation because I wanted to see if I could make something stereoscopic that also looks hand drawn. To create this effect, I made a simple cube in Softimage XSI and projected a hand drawn looping animation of a square (created in Photoshop with a Wacom tablet) onto each side, then rendered it out from two slightly different points of view for the left and right eyes, and finally put the two perspectives side by side in After Effects.

Because there's no background in this animation, the stereo effect doesn't really pop out as much as it could. I'll have to use more depth next time and play around with it until I get something good.

Good job Dan, but I see it easily with the parallel technique. The cross-eyed technique is very difficult for me, but with some effort I can just barely do it. You are onto something here because when I saw an IMAX 3D cartoon, the effects were awesome, whereas a movie in 3D did not impress me much. Doing any more 3D?

At the moment, I'm not doing anything stereoscopic. I have some ideas though. Hopefully I'll get around to working on some of them eventually.
