From inspirationstudios.com.au A small video shot in Tasmania on the last day of the feature Van Diemen's Land see: vandiemensland-themovie.com
While it has nothing to do with the film it clearly demonstrates the extraordinary skills of Cam.

... and he failed to mention that HE'Ss the go-between communicating with the Editor/Editor Asst! Easy for the Director to say "Forget the Slate!" ... when he should be keeping up that line of communications with his Editorial Staff. And End Slates ... add a lot of Time and Expense to syncing up dailies. The Asst. Editor has to go past the take to find the Clap, sync and go backwards. Often they don't want to use End Sticks with Kids or Animals. In 31 years of seeing Slating, I've never seen a kid or animal spooked by a Slate Clap. Shooting off the cuff ... OK ... no sticks ...

And you really have to think about it when you're comin down to slating. "Thats how we run it aroun' here" is just the kind of action that we, as an art, and as artist. Look for. When we start doing this kind of filmmaking of actually when you. Are. Doing the slate. And essentually, hittin on the head, goin out the back, and then really just gettin out there, movies. Im happy to see others on vimeo really hittin home with me on this crucial factiod about internet(s).
