This is a recording of the September, 2012 remount of RoseAnne Spradlin's 'beginning of something," at New York Live Arts in New York City. The work was originally choreographed and shown in 2011 at the Chocolate Factory, in Long island City.

"beginning of something" was originally commissioned by the Chocolate Factory and Mt. Tremper Arts, supported by NYSCA and by an artist residency on Governor's Island, administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. The 2012 reconstruction of "beginning of something" at New York Live Arts was made possible, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. Additional support was given by contributors to the Dance Theater Workshop Commissioning Fund at New York Live Arts.
