Cantor Jamie Marx:
Cantor Jamie Marx is based at the Touro Synagogue in New Orleans, LA. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Cantor Marx earned his BA in Music in 2003. After graduation, Cantor Marx started a young adults group at the synagogue he and his wife joined, hosting Shabbat dinners, a Passover Seder, and leading songs, prayers, and text study.

Professor John Baron:
John Baron is professor of musicology at Newcomb College of Tulane University, where he holds the Schawe professorship and is chair of the department. He is one of the founders of the Jewish Studies Program at Tulane, in which he regularly teaches courses on Jewish music. Baron has written on chamber music, baroque music, the music of New Orleans and Jewish music.
