Doggie Approved

This week was a big change in the little backyard. the dog "Oreo" claims this yard as her own, the problem being that she does her "business" everywhere... and its impossible to keep the grass green... the place have come to look like a wasteland...
Solution. a artifical lawn from Mirage Synthetic Grass, installed by Romans Landscaping in Los Angeles. WOW.. first they have to dig out about 3 inches of dirt to make things even, then they put decomposed granite on top and level it perfectly, then stomp it with a very loud thingie and then they roll the grass out like a carpet... then cut and nail it in place, using a 6 inch tape to piece the pieces together.. there is a large nail for about every 6 inches. finally the put a thick coat of sand on top of the grass.
The result is fantastic, so soft and feels just like real grass when walking around in it on bare feet... though since the dog have now officially christened the lawn.. I will probably avoid the bare feet experience from now on....
Shot entirely with iPhone and edited in iMovie.. (not quite FCP but still fun.)

5 months ago Oh, the things we do for our doggies! I see that Oreo approves :) -
Fred Davidson 5 months agoI should put that where the grass doesn't grow in my backyard. It doesn't grow, not because I have a dog, but, because there is not enough sun. Is that iMovie '09 or iMovie '08? iMovie '09 puts the "Themes" back in that were taken out after iMovie HD. -
