The L-19 was used in Vietnam and Korea as a Liaison aircraft. Many of them were shot down, torn up, used, abused, and thrown away. Today there are a handful still flying around the world, mostly by enthusiasts and a few who still use it as a workhorse for towing gliders.

I'm getting close to the end of my own L-19 restoration project that I've been working on in Paris Texas over the past couple of years.

I went flying with my friend Chad Parrot in his L-19 while I was there in June of 2009. I shot this with my Sony MC1 point of view camera.

Hope you enjoy it.

    Nice dude!

Question - what are the little black cones on the leading edge of your horizontal stab - my 170 doesn't have those!

Those are VHF antenna mounting pods. You should get a birddog :) I know a couple of good ones for sale!
