have you ever tried making time lapse with this device?
I believe it will give excellent results as good as the videos..

I was planning to build a similar one for time lapse photography and found your wonderful videos..

Wow, your rig is fantastic and I think I'm going to attempt to build one of my own using your guide. Just one question - can it the camera be accurately moved back to exactly the same point to recreate the same camera move?

My rig is one-way only and you have to put a mechanical stop at the start position in order to recreate the same camera move. If you figure out a way to move the carriage in two directions i.e with a belt drive the accuracy because of the stepper motor would be very high. But note that a belt drive requires a much stronger motor.

The Arduino UNO is brand new but from what I see on their website it should work exactly the same.
