The BLAZE Bike Light is a completely new innovation for urban cyclists. It looks like an ordinary bike front light - probably just more stilish than the usual one - but it comes with a surprise inside: a super-bright laser, which projects the green symbol of a bike down onto the road ahead of the cyclist.
BLAZE's creator, Emily Brooke, is a 27-year-old cyclist who studied product design at the University of Brighton, hopes it will save lives: "My aim is to tackle one of the biggest causes of cycling fatalities - being caught in the blind spot and vehicles turning across an unseen bike - by making the cyclists more visible and increasing their footprint on the road."
