Second of 2 videos made to commemorate the first snow of this winter in Minneapolis, MN.
Once the storm cleared, out came the sun and played around with the tree branches for about 5 hours until it set over yonder. That was captured in time lapse. Later, D. Okar found some muzak for the score and I spent some time tweaking the video roll to reflect a certain drum roll.
I like how the frame interacts with the overall scene and lighting. Eventually the sharp shadows are washed away as the sun sets on a full frame including the garage. The very fast blips of dark, smoke from a chimney in the background and car lights on the street behind all move quickly relative to the shadows from the sun. A perspective on the relative pace of the planet and the human world. The clip closes at dusk with a light shining from inside a facing window and human world have another laugh at the dark. Shadow and light moved inside - but still in time, again.
