The Most Innovative, Daring, and Original Piece of Dance/Performance You Will See this Decade Official Trailor

Premiere October 12-14 and 19-21, 2012 Velocity Dance Center Seattle WA

Master dance articulator, Amy O’Neal, presents a non-verbal lecture demonstration performance. Through deconstructing some of her past and recent influences/obsessions (Hip Hop, Ballet, Ciara, Cyndi Lauper, Janet Jackson) she reveals a complex myriad of racial, sexual, and social information. O’Neal tackles questions of gender and racial stereotypes using the ass as a taking off point for a study in cultural identity. O’Neal asks “Are we damned for selling ourselves in a culture where we are expected to?”
