This webinar is the first in a series discussing key chapters from the Assessment of Climate Change in the Southwest United States: A Technical Report Prepared for the U.S. National Climate Assessment. The assessment, which will be published in early 2013, summarizes and synthesizes the past, present, and projected climate in the Southwest region, examining what this means for the health and well-being of human populations and the environment throughout the six Southwestern states-Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.

The webinar consists of two brief talks and 30 minutes for questions at the end. The talks will include an overview of the entire report by Gregg Garfin, and a discussion of climate projections in the Southwest by Dan Cayan.
