Long a symbol of Brooklyn’s industrial legacy, the Domino Sugar Refinery is regrettably seeing its final days before the site is developed into a clusterfuck of residential and office towers. The filter, pan, and finishing houses are protected by landmark designation but the rest will be cleared for god knows what. The most upsetting part about this whole thing is that the public will never have a chance to see the massive and bizarre interiors in person.
All audio is natural. For a static abandonment, Domino is very loud. Birds, sirens, choppers and wind on metal panels all added to the eeriness.
