Shot this video for Milwaukee band "Avenues" in late spring of 2012 at the Mirimar Theatre. We had a change of venue last minute so this was a one-man-band (no pun intended) sort of shoot. A lot of running around, but a lot of fun. Since this was their first video, we had decided to keep it more of a performance piece.
Technically speaking, the entire video was shot on a Canon T3i with a Tamron 17-50 2.8 lens. Rigging was a ProAm jib, homemade 6' slider and, a Proaim shoulder rig. Lighting was simple with a few Lowel Tota's, some Kino-flow knock-offs, and Arri 650, a 300 and my saving grace, a Videssence 6-bank I picked up at a photography studios moving sale. It was big, broad and soft. Just right to bring the ambience on the whole stage enough to get exposure.
Please check out the band and download their EP "Noho" on iTunes. They're a great show, a great band and all around a great group of dudes. Thanks also to our talented "psycho ex-girlfriend" Amy!
