A devised play presented at the 2012 Chicago Fringe Festival (chicagofringe.org/). Written and performed by a Northwestern U and a UChicago student, the play explores womanhood and heritage through channeling the forgotten “comfort women,” Korean women forced into brutal sexual slavery during WWII.
The play integrated video projections in the set. The "animations" are mostly done by hand, and made through filming the process of painting from the bottom of the sheet. It devises experimental techniques with traditional Korean paint and other editing methods.
