Trailblaze, Green Street Courthouse, 1st May 2012.
Native New Yorker Margaret E. Ward made a mistake that brought her to Ireland where she now lives and works as an author, journalist and broadcaster. She is dedicated to giving women a voice in society – a passion shaped by the courageous journey of her Grandmother Maggie O’ Toole Rice. Margaret was a self confessed funny kid and her grandmother was her best friend and confidante growing up. She regaled a curious Margaret with colourful stories of ghosts, banshees, moonshine, Coney Island, and her time as a prisoner in Kilmainham Jail. Margaret asks us to pay attention and listen closely to the brave stories of those who have paved our way in the world.
