Eleanor Catton, author of the critically acclaimed, Betty Trask-award-winning debut novel, The Rehearsal, talks to Granta.com. Catton received the Adam Award in Creative Writing in 2007 for The Rehearsal and won New Zealand’s Sunday Star-Times Short Story Competition. She is currently on a Fellowship at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Catton’s short story, ‘Two Tides’, appears in Granta 106: Fiction Special.
