May We Interrupt Your Day, July 13, 2009
After Attorney General John Kroger decided to not press criminal charges against Mayor Sam Adams in the Breedlove case, the legal troubles that have dogged the Mayor's office since last January are subsiding. But Mayor Adams is not out of the woods yet, he now remains accountable to his constituency, a force potentially more destructive to the embattled Mayor than the Attorney General.
Unhindered by the constrains of "beyond reasonable doubt," the folks who got Adams elected are able to operate more on a "any doubt at all and let's kick that mother out!" mentality. As the Recall Sam Adams Committee begins collecting the 32,183 votes necessary to get an Adams recall on the ballot, May We Interrupt Your Day wanted to know how the Sam Adams situation has shaken out on the street. In this episode we ask: "Would you support a recall vote for Mayor Sam Adams?." Which way do you think public sentiment will turn?
