Governments in the US, UK and Canada do a bad job of representing the views of women. Inspired by the spirit of my great-aunt, Militant Suffragette Gert Harding, I've decided to try to do something about it. menocracy.ca

Great snapshot of politics. Why should 51 percent of the population realize only 11% representation especially when those 51% are the main group of people struggling to protect and raise the next generation of both females and males?

If there were a better balance of representation perhaps we would see fewer problems stemming from lack of early childcare and education. Fewer fast cars more care.

Excellent interview with Rt. Hon Kim Campbell who was in my mind handed the reins just as the cart was about to go over the cliff.

I missed your comment, D. For sure we'll have fewer societal problems as more women are in power. Studies in Canada, US and UK show that women tend to prioritize education, poverty, childcare, health care, etc, and men tend to prioritize foreign policy, economics and war.

When I made the doc in 2007-10, Canadian women made up 22% of Parliament. The only reason we just jumped up to 25% is because so many NDP candidates were elected. If MPs were all Conservatives, only 15% would be women.
