This is the first episode resulting from the 2011 visit to Brazil. It allowed me to discover the riches of the Brazilian culture; the numerous contrasts of its people; and the fascinating love-hate relationship between Brazil and video games as well. It must be said that Brazil is a country that has received interactive entertainment enthusiastically from the very beginning. However, video games have been ignored by the industry and politically misunderstood until recently. Thanks to all the situations I experienced there what inspired me to start this adventure, which is focused on a main goal: to broaden the scope of The Gamer Inside, already considered an international project. Nevertheless, I realized that the creation of a more specific subseries, focused on stories which were strictly bound to Brazilian history and culture, was a fully worthy effort.

It is a pleasure to show you the pilot episode of this sub-series, after a stay of almost a month in Brazil interviewing more than 30 people. It is part of the memories' channel, in which the following interviewees show up:

Stephano Arnhold - Chairman at Tectoy
Moacyr Alves Junior - Videogame collector and President at ACIGAMES
Nino Megadriver - Founder and frontman at Megadriver
Roger Tavares - Owner at Gamecultura
Ricardo Wilmers - Videogame collector
Everson Siqueira - Indie game developer
Felipe Sanches - President and Co-founder at Garoa Hacker Clube
Sergio Lobato - Marketing veterinary consultant
Théo Azevedo - Editor in-chief at UOL Jogos
Lívia Amorim - Hacker
Luis Matheus Amorim - Kumon student
Tiago Santos - Hotel receptionist

I hope that you will enjoy the final work. If so, please do not hesitate and spread it in any way you can and as far as possible. You will be helping our project to make its way between the thousands of contents available on the Internet.
